Charles Ponder (tenor) Charles first sang a cappella on the street corners of his hometown, Newark, New Jersey. The doo-wop sounds of his youth inspired him to become a lifelong musician, and today, Sir Charles makes his living singing in a variety of venues from Beale Street bars to Opera Memphis, including, of course, DeltaCappella.
